| Padre Pio, a humble Capuchin priest from San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, was blessed by God in many wonderful and mysterious ways. The most dramatic was the stigmata. Padre Pio bore the wounds of Christ for fifty years! Among his other gifts were perfume, bilocation, prophecy, conversion, reading of souls, and miraculous cures. People are still being cured through his intercession in ways that cannot be explained by medicine or science. More important, if less spectacular, are the spiritual healings that take place in all parts of the world! Padre Pio is a powerful intercessor!! Who are we? We are preparing to celebrate our 30th anniversary! Our Foundation was established in 1977 to promote devotion to Padre Pio and to foster adult vocations to the priesthood. We do all we can to spread devotion to Padre Pio. The Foundation's goal is been to spread devotion to our beloved Padre Pio by spreading his teachings and spirituality; keeping Pietrelcina a holy place of remembrance and preserving places near and dear to Padre Pio; aiding in priestly vocations and participating and promoting corporal and spiritual works of mercy in remembrance of Padre Pio. If you would like to make a donation to help us in our apostolate of promoting Padre Pio and his good works, please click here. Most important we have had passed on to us, directly from Padre Pio, the urgent need to let people know that he will accept "all of America" (his words) as his Spiritual Children. Through his intercessions, people have experienced physical healing, renewed faith, conversion and many other spiritual and temporal blessings. San
Giovanni Rotondo We are able to support these projects in San Giovanni Rotondo thanks to the loyal support of our benefactors. Both the hospital and the new church are magnificent tributes to our patron saint. Pietrelcina We also assisted at Santa Maria degli Angeli (also in Pietrelcina), Padre Pio's parish church, after it was left in ruins by an earthquake. We commissioned artists to create floor to ceiling murals of Angels which now frame the altar there. At The Padre Pio Foundation of America, everything we have is for God's glory, His Church and in honor of Padre Pio. We pray each day that Padre Pio will intercede for all those who ask his help.
